The double CBS eye in motion eventually was used at the end of a network show reproduced by kinetoscope on a delayed basis.

Given how much time is eaten up by commercials, local and network, that’s wishful thinking.

I do wish they would bring back the “This is CBS” announcements. Product recognition is great, in my opinion. It spells consistency, and so on.

Contrary to what the interviewee in this piece says - the barns with hex symbols in PA are those of the Amish and Mennonites, not “Shakers”.

CBS and NBC/RCA were experimenting with color at least as early as 1940. CBS was granted FCC approval for its awkward mechanical system in 1950 only to be rescinded in 1953 when RCA’s electronic system won out because of its compatibility with existing B&W sets.

NBC’s peacock - equally famous - was unveiled in 1956, animated on 1957, revised in 1962.

I never would have thought the CBS logo was inspired by the “hex signs” on a farmhouse.

    Me likes The Eye. ^__^

For the record: When CBS,in the late Fifties,
    was experimenting with its “color-wheel”
system (NTSC color didn’t come in until 1966)
the center of the “eye” was replaced by a
    colored snowflake.

This only happened for special events, such
as showings of “The Wizard of Oz”,etc.

She’s crying because she is filled with shame. How could you be asking this, it’s the single most watched comedic series that had ever taken place up to that point in the entire world of broadcast. Anyways, she is ashamed because she has just been assaulted by a man. And in her culture, that is usually dealt with by death by stoning,

    …for the woman!

So she is preparing to die, because her attack…of course….was caused by her sinfulness, and she deserves it.

    A very good program.

They even say “the all seeing eye”. We’be got our “Christian” version, but these guys even admit its origin is occult! Now say we’re paranoid.

the columbian faction of the illuminati. they control all media and most of if not the whole world. the problem is they are evil pyramid preditory slave oriented. they want to bring down the pop by any and all means

  24. By RandomentalTV on Aug 26, 2009 | Reply

There’s one thing I still try to manage to understand.

They seem to have some obsession with the name Columbia.

    Columbia Broadcasting Station

    Washington District of Columbia

    ect. ect.

    Where did columbia come from?

  25. By shnarfers on Aug 29, 2009 | Reply

CBS and their subsidiaries blind their viewers with bright bright pulses of white light. on the news their is a noise that comes with the flash/pulse. on the show numbers they unscrupulously straight blinded the viewer with truck headlights.
their stupid because they are evil pyramid scum but their not that dumb. they play/hurt their viewers. their predatory leaches.

  26. By RandomentalTV on Aug 30, 2009 | Reply

I actually knew all about it. And everything about the all-seeing eye. I just like to type like a complete “brainwashed” american citizen to see if anyone replies

  27. By shnarfers on Aug 30, 2009 | Reply
