well umm i never really paid attention to trans ppl but Valerie Spencer has the seam exact name as me. I don’t understand any transsexuals I mean they could have some kind of extra hormones that some ppl don’t have. BUT WAIT DONT TURN AWAY YET I DONT GET UR STRENGTH IT IS AMAZING TO GO THROUGH GETTING BEAT DOWN JUST TO BE WHO YOU WANT TO BE AND I THINK THAT IS REMARKABLE TO HAVE THAT STRENGTH I HOPE WHEN I GET OLDER I CAN HAVE A OUNCE OF THAT STRENGTH.

so true, when you first come out your family accepts but with a fear of the world and other people making fun of them and you but when i went in the public everyone would tell my mother what a beautiful daughter, my brother you have a **** sister and to my cousins whats her number?. thats when they got over there fears and they knew that it will be alright. LIVE LIFE FOR YOU AND DO NOT ALLOW ANYWAY TO STAND IN THE WAY OF YOUR DESTINY AND THEN EVERYTHING ELSE WILL FALL INTO PLACE

Leslie Townsend came and spoke at our school, she was so amazing. What a great sense of humour, too.

I give these women credit where credit is due. I can’t even begin to imagine the hell they went through to get where they are today. I commend them for their bravery.

Moving…so touching…when Lynn gets emotional, so do I. I have choices to make in my life, things are hard. These women are my role models - women who speak to me and give me courage to be me. Jo

this is beautiful…
I was moved, touched and i felt like I was one of these brave women.
Someday I will have my own stories to tell and I knew it,in a way or the other would be quite similar with the experiences of these women.
Wonderful!!!

and thank YOU for the comment! the real credit goes not to me of course, but to these women, the folks who put together the original movie, and Eve Ensler for adding their stories to the monologues. believe it or not, though I’m a TS man, I can relate to a lot of this. anyway, I’m glad you enjoyed it
